Caregiver Assistance

Here at No Place Like Home Health, we are always being asked questions. Questions about our agency, caregivers, training, what to expect, and much more. We hear these so often that we wanted to post answers to those questions that we hear all the time.

How do we know if our loved one is being cared for?

-No Place Like Home Health uses a state of the art, web-based software system to manage our clients and caregivers. Clients and authorized family member(s) have 24/7 electronic access to care plans, caregiver notes, and more through our system. Family members are able to see in real time your loved one’s schedule for the day and see that all tasks are being taken care of. All tasks, finished or unfinished are also reported to the home office. You will know exactly what’s going on in the home.

I’ve had caregivers not show up before, how do you know yours will be there?

-First off, we have a great caregiver team. That being said we have safeguards in place to ensure that our caregivers are arriving on time. Our system manages caregiver scheduling, monitors arrival and departure times, as well as ensure that all tasks from the care plan are completed. No Place Like Home Health is automatically alerted if a caregiver does not arrive on time for a shift. That way we are able to ensure that we get coverage for all of our clients when they have a shift scheduled.

Can we provide input and tasks for caregivers?

-Family members can add tasks or visits for their family member right through our portal at any time. Our portal also accepts payments for services. If you haven’t clicked on the video, take a look. It really explains a lot.

What is the difference between live-in and 24-hour care?

-Live-in and 24-hour care are two different types of care that we provide at No Place Like Home Health. Live-in care provides around the clock care but allows a caregiver to get 8 hours of sleep during their shift. Caregivers usually stay with clients for the entire period with a new caregiver arriving every day. 24-hour care provides care around the clock without any sleep. Caregiver shifts for 24-hour care usually consists of three 8-hour shifts or two 12-hour shifts.

What are your service areas?

-We service four counties (Wayne, Washtenaw, Livingston, and Oakland) but our primary areas are Livonia, Novi, Northville, Plymouth and Farmington Hills. With caregivers located throughout our service area, we work hard at matching those that are in your area.
Why four counties? Well, we are right up in the Northwest corner of Wayne where all four of these counties meet up. We did not want to leave anyone out for being cared by No Place Like Home Health.
